Oboe
Founding Member - Serves as an officer on the board of directors
Rebecca, originally from Colorado, received her Doctoral Degree in Oboe Performance from the University of Oregon. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where she toured Vienna, Austria, and Spain with the LC Symphony Orchestra and the LC Concert Band. She furthered her education with a Master of Music Degree at the University of Northern Colorado, performing with both the Contemporary Music Ensemble and the Early Music Ensemble. Her teachers have included Lisa Brende Martin, Dr. Heather Armstrong, Dr. Laura Medisky, Dr. Euridice Alvarez, Timothy Gocklin, Melissa Peña, and Dr. Dieter Koch.

Clarinet
Founding Member - Serves as the secretary on the Board of Directors
Singaporean David Zechariah Kwek graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (First Class Honors) from the Royal College of Music (London) in collaboration with the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Singapore). His teachers were Tang Xiao Ping, Janet Hilton and Michael Harris. David is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Music Performance the University of Oregon and is a student of Dr. Wonkak Kim. He is also the Graduate Employee Instructor of Clarinet.
David is a Yamaha Artist and plays on YCL-SE Artist Models Bb & A clarinets.

Saxophone
Founding Member - Serves as an officer on the board of directors
The “baby” of the group, Nick is a third-year performance major and student of Dr. Idit Shner. He is an Oregon native and has been playing saxophone for nine years. During his time at UO, Nick has had the opportunity to perform with the Oregon Wind Ensemble, UO Symphony Orchestra, Britt Festival Orchestra, and the Newport Symphony.

Bass Clarinet
Serves as treasurer on the board of directors
A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dexter Hidalgo received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2023. During his time in Northern Nevada, Dexter has performed with groups including The Reno Philharmonic and The Reno Chamber Orchestra. A former student of Dr. Joshua Anderson, he has performed with UNR’s various major ensembles and chamber groups. Dexter is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree at the University of Oregon studying under Dr. Wonkak Kim.

Bassoon
Founding Member - Serves as president on the board of directors
Bronson York, an Oregon-born Californian, has been playing bassoon for eleven years, seven of those years under the instruction of Dr. Steve Vacchi. He holds two degrees from the University of Oregon in performance where he also received two awards in outstanding performance. Bronson is currently the principal bassoonist of the Rogue Valley Symphony and regularly performs with Eugene Symphony, Eugene Ballet, Eugene Opera and several other ensembles.

Bass Clarinet
Founding Member
Logan is a Eugene native, graduating from Willamette high school in 2019. He is in his final year of his bachelor's degree at the University of Oregon where he studies with Dr. Wonkak Kim. In his time here he has performed with groups including OrchestraNEXT, Newport Symphony, and Eugene Symphony. In the fall of 2023 he will begin his master's program at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music with professor Pavel Vinnitsky.
